Yasin Malik should not have roamed freely for three decades: Nirmal Khanna

Soon after Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) leader Yasin Malik was awarded life sentence, Nirmal Khanna who is the wife of slain Indian Air Force (IAF) squadron leader Ravi Khanna said that the “separatist leader should not have roamed freely on the streets of Kashmir for 32 years”.

“These were the same streets where my husband was killed by Yasin Malik where he roamed freely for 32 years” said an emotional Nirmal Khanna.

She told a galaxy of reporters who visited her home after the verdict that there was a burden on her for past so many years and she was always in distress that Malik was alive despite killing her husband in cold blood in 1990.

“It always hurt me that Yasin Malik was still living even after killing my husband. The anti-nationals should be treated with one law – Khoon ka Badla Khoon (an eye for an eye)” said Nirmal.

Yasin Malik is facing another trial in Jammu TADA (Terrorist & Anti-Disruptive Activities Act) court. Charges were framed in 2020 against Malik and six others for allegedly killing four Indian Air Force (IAF) officers in Srinagar including Ravi Khanna in 1990. The case is still going on.

“I also want to meet PM Narendra Modi to tell what kind of gruesome killing my husband faced and Yasin Malik should also face the same thing at the hands of law” said Nirmal.
