Rajouri : A sensational incident took place in Thanamandi, Rajouri, when a young man climbed a mobile tower to protest, sending a wave of alarm among the residents and authorities alike.
The whole episode raised quite a level of tension within the locality as the youth, who was identified as Javed later, would not descend from the tower even after initial efforts were made to persuade him.Police and administrative officials quickly responded to the area, starting negotiations with the protester who refused to budge from his perch on the tower. The stalemate lasted several hours, holding authorities and spectators in suspense and raising fears about the safety of the youth.
The issue was finally resolved when the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Thanamandi stepped in, ensuring Javed that his issues would be addressed. The youth, who had asserted that the administration was not paying any heed to his complaints, agreed to come down after the assurance from the official.After his successful descent, Javed was arrested by the police for interrogation over the incident.
