Over 1500 candidates have applied for eight post of Assistant Registrar in Jammu University, list of which was announced by varsity on Wednesday.
The number of candidates for only 8 seats explain the level of unemployment and search for better prospects by the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
University of Jammu had on October 7, notified different vacancies including the ones for Assistant Registrar. All 8 posts were based in the main campus of the university. One seat each was reserved for SC and ST.
Jammu University had invited application for the post of Assistant Registrar online to which over 1500 candidates responded.
