In a shocking incident that took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, at least 50 people were killed and 24 others injured when militants opened fire on the vehicle they were travelling in.
Eight women and five children were among the killed in the incident. It is believed that these people were travelling in two convoys in the area bordering Afghanistan.
Most of the victims belonged to the Shia community.
