The much talked about film ‘The Kashmir Files’ is just a week away from its release and everyone seems to be excited about the release. In Jammu, a special screening was held for the film by the filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and cast – Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumaar and Bhasha Sumbli.
The film makers had invited influential personalities, politicians, Army Officers and known Kashmiri Pandits for the special screening of ‘The Kashmir Files’. The film revolves around the painful story of the Kashmir genocide that took place in 1990. Anupam Kher will play the role of a Kashmiri Pandit named Pushkar Nath, which was also the actor’s father’s name.
It is one of the important and unreported story of Indian history, Vivek’s next ‘The Kashmir Files’ was invited by several prestigious institutes and organizations in the USA. The critically-acclaimed filmmaker along with Pallavi Joshi were happy about the heartfelt response for ‘The Kashmir Files’ during the movie screenings.
‘The Kashmir Files’ is a true story, based on video interviews of the first generation victims of The Kashmir genocide of Kashmiri Pandit Community. The film is written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri. It stars several National Award-winning actors, including Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Prakash Belavadi and Anupam Kher.
The film also features Darshan Kumar, Chinmay Mandlekar, Bhasha Sumbali, Atul Srivastava, Mrinal Kulkarni, Puneet Issar and Prithviraj Sarnaik. The movie is set to hit the theatres on 11 March 2022.
