President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu today arrived on two day visit at Leh to participate in the 5th Foundation Day of Ladakh Union Territory.
The President was accorded a warm welcome at the Leh airport where she was also accorded a guard of honour.
She was received by Lt. Governor Brigadier BD Mishra (Retd), chief of the Army staff, chief executive officer of LAHDC, GOC 14 Corps, Air Officer Commanding, IAF Leh and ADGP Ladakh.
The President will grace the Foundation Day celebrations of UT Ladakh at Leh today.
On November 1, the President will visit Siachen Base Camp and interact with troops. On the same day, she will attend the civic reception to be hosted in her honour at Leh. The President will also interact with members of SHGs and local tribals.
