Northern Army Commander Lt General MV Suchindra Kumar, along with GOC, fire & fury Corps, today inaugurated a Community Radio Station at Hanle in Ladakh.
The Indian Army operates Community Radio Stations in remote regions of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, managed by local RJs to provide entertainment and regional content based on local interest to the residents.
The Army had recently launched two community radio stations in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district to nurture local talent and empower the society, Army officials said.
The community radio stations at Baramulla and Uri have been established by the Dagger Division and were inaugurated by General Officer Commanding (GOC) Chinar Corps.
