UDHAMPUR:- To mark the celebration of World AIDS Day, the Red Ribbon Club Government College for Women(GCW) Udhampur under the aegis of IQAC in collaboration with J&K AIDS Control Society Department of Health & Medical Education and Higher Education Department J&K today organized a rally on the theme Take the Rights
Path.
Principal of the college Dr. Nalini Pathania was the chief guest on the occasion and formally flagged off the rally. Dr. Pathania said that the main aim of organizing the rally is to
Celebrate World AIDS Day and to make people aware of the disease. She urged students, faculty to spread the message of Aids awareness among the masses as prevention is the only cure for Aids.
On this occasion, a rally was taken out from the campus of Government Women College Udhampur, which passed through the main places of Battal Ballian Road and finally concluded at the college campus. More than 130 students from various semesters of the college participated in the rally.
Dr. Neha Gupta, Nodal Officer, Red Ribbon Club GCW Udhampur also gave a detailed account of the activities to be undertaken by the club during the week-long celebration of World AIDS Day. Among others, Prof. Parwinder Kour, Prof. Meenakshi Jamwal, Dr.
Pardeep Singh , Prof. Sarbjeet Kour, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Prof. Yash Kumar and Students of the various semesters were present on the occasion.
