Srinagar :- In a tragic incident that underlines the continuing security challenges in Kashmir, a former Army serviceman has lost his life following a terrorist attack in the Kulgam district of South Kashmir on Monday. Manzoor Ahmad Wagay, along with his wife and daughter, fell victim to a targeted assault by terrorists in the BehiBagh area of Kulgam.
The attack occurred at their residence and left all three family members seriously injured. They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Despite medical intervention, Manzoor Ahmad Wagay succumbed to his injuries. His wife and daughter, who were also wounded in the attack, are reported to be in stable condition and receiving medical care.In the aftermath of the attack, security forces have intensified an operation in the area. The whole BehiBagh region is cordoned off while forces are conducting an intensive search operation to track down and apprehend the terrorists responsible for this deadly assault. The incident has created tension in the area with additional security personnel deployed in order to maintain law and order.More details about the investigations and the family members’ situation are still being awaited as this situation is continuously unfolding.
