The extreme heat wave in Jammu and Kashmir is expected to break soon as the Monsoon is likely to hit the Union Territory (UT) on 20 June, 10 days ahead of normal arrival date on 30th June, said weather expert and Director of the Meteorological Centre Ladakh.
Leh recorded maximum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius today, whereas Srinagar had 32.4 degrees Celsius and Jammu 43.6 degrees Celsium.
Slight relief of 2 degrees Celsius in Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir likely to continue till 16 June, he added.
