The Divisional Railway Manager Vivek Kumar conducted a surprise inspection of the railway section between Jammu and Pathankot Cantt. During this inspection, a thorough examination was conducted of Railway Bridge No. 17, located between Kathua and Madhopur, and Railway Bridge No. 137, located between Ghagwal and Hiranagar. Other senior officers of the division were also present during the inspection.

The main objective of the inspection was to review the progress of repair and restoration work on the bridges damaged by recent rains, so that train operations could be fully restored as soon as possible.

Prioritizing passenger safety, the railway administration had already initiated the repair work, which is currently progressing smoothly. During his inspection, the Divisional Railway Manager expressed satisfaction with the ongoing repair work and instructed the concerned officers and staff to complete it as soon as possible.

During his inspection, Divisional Railway Manager stated “The repair work on Railway Bridges No. 17 and 137, which were damaged due to the rains, is progressing rapidly and will be completed in the near future so that train operations can return to normal.”
