Illegal Mining: 3 dumpers, 2 JCB machines seized in Pulwama

Continuing its sustained drive against illegal mining, Police in Pulwama carried out a targeted operation in the jurisdiction of Police Station Litter and took strict action against violators involved in unlawful extraction activities.

A police party from Police Station Litter conducted a raid at Rambi Aada, where illegal extraction of minerals was found in progress. Acting swiftly, the team seized 3 dumpers and 2 JCB machines involved in the illegal activity.

In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 45/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Litter and investigation has been initiated.

J&K Police remains committed to its zero-tolerance policy against illegal mining and urges the general public to cooperate and share information regarding such unlawful activities.
