9 suspects rounded up as Police launches CASO against drug peddlers in Jammu

In continuation of the sustained efforts under Nasha Mukt Abhiyan to uproot the menace of narcotics and dismantle both supply and demand networks, South Zone Jammu Police today carried out an intensive Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Maratha Mohalla Trikuta  Nagar following specific inputs regarding ganja peddling activities reported in the recent past.

During the operation, more than 200 jhuggies were thoroughly searched and nine suspects were rounded up for sustained questioning and verification. 

The operation was conducted in a planned and coordinated manner to identify and curb the activities of drug peddlers and anti-social elements operating in the area.

The entire operation was led by SP South Zone, Jammu, with active participation of officers and personnel of South Zone Police. Jammu Police remains steadfast in its commitment to making society drug-free and appeals to the public to come forward with information regarding drug trafficking and other criminal activities so that timely and effective action can be taken.
