Deepika Padukone will be starring along with Shahrukh Khan and John Abraham for a thriller movie titled “Pathan” directed by Siddharth Anand who has also directed ‘war’. The movie is expected to release by the November end next year. According to the reports by Bollywood Hungama, John Abraham has charged Rs. 20 crore for playing a negative character in the movie. Deepika Padukone has also charged a massive amount for featuring in the film.
A source told the Bollywood Hungama that everyone at Yash Raj Films along with Shahrukh Khan wanted to get Deepika on board for this film to make it into one of the biggest movies by casting in the coming years. Her character is well crafted and she will start shooting for it from early next year. Along with Alia Bhatt, she is one of the most bankable actresses in the industry as of now. It is reported that her acting charges will be something around 14 to 15 crores.
The Pathan will be one of the costliest action films having a budget more than 200 crores, excluding the charges of Shahrukh Khan fees. Aditya Chopra is known for splurging money in his films to give them an international vibe in all aspects. Sources say that’s why he didn’t even think twice before agreeing to the charges demanded by both John Abraham and Deepika Padukone. It will be one of the most ambitious YRF films by now and will be SRK’s comeback to the screen.
The movie is expected to release on Diwali 2021 but the Coronavirus pandemic may play a part. Pathan is a part of Yash Raj Films’ 50 year celebrations.
