China construct houses, 4G internet along LAC in Demchok in Ladakh

China has been building double storey houses for its nomads along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with India in Demchok sector in Ladakh.

The move is being seen by locals as an act of dominance in the area in wake of recent skirmishes between Indian and Chinese troops over territory in the region.

The newly constructed structures can be easily seen in the pictures shared by Councillor Chushul Constituency Konchok Stanzin who has also requested the government of India to build similar settlement in the area.

“China has built double story for their Nomads at #Demchok with planned manner. Nomads are always encouraged by providing all facilities, like 24*7 light, 4G network & infrastructure like that. I am requesting #GoI for same to our resident of border” he wrote on his Twitter.

Chinese soldiers are on a regular patrol in the area along LAC and provision of 4G internet and electricity signify a lot in wake of tension between the two countries.

It has also been learnt that China was laying optic fiber for 5G  internet data in Demchok.
