AAP trying to gain ground in J&K, many former ministers in talks with party

After the landslide win of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the neighboring state Punjab, AAP is trying to spread its wings in Jammu and Kashmir. J&K will have elections once the delimitation process gets over.

As per reports, many former Ministers, legislators and MLAs are likely to join AAP while many others are in touch with the party. Also, Arvind Kejriwal is mulling to hold a mega rally in Jammu in coming month.  Former Minister and two times MLA along with an Independent DDC member from Jammu and many political personalities have are joining AAP and formal joining function will be held at New Delhi soon.

Currently, AAP’s Political Affairs Committee member and Arvind Kejriwal’s close aide Durgesh Pathak is in charge of the party’s J&K affairs. Moreover, the background of each and every person who wants to join AAP is being checked.

Also it is being claimed that many Councilors, Sarpanches, Panches, social workers, businessmen and social organization heads in J&K are keen to join the party. Many District Development Council members, ex legislators, BDC Chairpersons and senior functionaries of different political parties are in touch with AAP and may come into the party folds in coming days.

Meanwhile, AAP is trying to expand its roots in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat as well.
