ACB arrests FCI manager, 3 employees for accepting bribe

A manager and three other employees of Food Corporation of India (FCI), Shaheed Gang, Srinagar, were arrested on Thursday by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for demanding and accepting bribes.

It has come forward that officials and manager for unloading the truck and issuance of challan demanded bribe of Rs 1500.

As per the complaint, Manager Abdul Qayoom and other officials use to delay the process for unloading of vehicles and demand bribe for issuance of challan. According to ACB officials, they have received a written complaint alleging that employees of FCI Depot Srinagar are unnecessarily delaying unloading the truck and issuance of challan thereof.

The statement said that the complainant approached the ACB for taking legal action against Qayoom and other employees of the FCI, Shaheed Gang, Srinagar.

Further investigation in the case is going on.
