On Thursday night, Delhi police started removing barricades which have been placed at the Tikri border point by the farmers who have been protesting for almost a year against the three farm laws.

On Thursday morning, big cranes were deployed on the border area to remove barricades.

According to the Delhi Police, though the blockades were being removed, there has been no confirmation on when the movement of vehicles will resume.

Supreme Court earlier said that farmers have the right to agitate but they cannot block roads indefinitely. The farmers, however, have told the court that it was the police who had put up the barricades.

Besides Tikri, Kundli, Ghazipur and Singhu are among the key borders along the national capital, besides other places, where the farmers have been protesting since the past 11 months.
