Ahead of Amit Shah’s visit, security increased in Kashmir

The security has been tightened in Kashmir because of recent civilian killings and visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Jammu and Kashmir this weekend.

Shah will visit J&K on October 23 to October 25. He will hold high level meetings on the security situation of Kashmir, reportedly.

A top police officer informed that security has been increased in Kashmir and all the security agencies are maintaining high level synergy. The heavy deployment of security forces were seen in Srinagar and other district headquarters since Tuesday.

As per reports, at TRC crossing, Lal Chowk, Jehangir Chowk, M A Road, Bemina, Parimpora, Bypass, the joint team of police and CRPF were seen checking the vehicles and identity cards of the travelers. Also, CCTV surveillance has also been updated. Moreover, large numbers police and paramilitary forces were seen deployed on roads. Also, CRPF personnel and cops conducted random frisking and identification checks at several places.
