Army organises quiz competition for children in eastern Ladakh

Dah Division of the Indian Army, in its continued commitment to fostering education, inculcate a competitive spirit and camaraderie in remote areas, successfully organized a quiz competition for children at Taruk, Eastern Ladakh.

The quiz competition,  held at Government Senior Secondary School, Taruk, showcased Indian Army’s unwavering dedication to empower and engage the youth in remote regions. With a focus on promoting learning and teamwork,  the event aimed to bring educational opportunities  to children while fostering a sense of community and unity.

The event witnessed lively participation from ‘Little Einsteins’ who showcased their knowledge of science,  history and general knowledge. The quiz competition was conducted on two phases. In Phase – 1, the kids were screened based on school curriculum. The selected kids participated in Phase – II, which covered a wide range of questions on Kargil War and the war heroes, providing  a platform to the children to showcase their intellect and knowledge. The unique format of the competition was thoroughly enjoyed by the kids, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

In addition to the quiz competition, an interactive session was organised by officers of the Indian Army, to inspire the students and encourage them to pursue their passions. The success of the quiz competition reflects the collaborative efforts of the Indian Army, the School Administration and the Local Community.  Such events play a crucial role in fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment among the children, ultimately contributing to the overall  well-being and progress of the region.
