Porter killed, four soldiers injured as vehicle attacked by terrorists in Gulmarg in Kashmir

In an ambush on an Army vehicle in Botapather area of Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, a civilian porter was killed while four soldiers were left injured, reports stated.

While there is no official confirmation to the incident, security forces have been rushed to the spot.

As per reports, the vehicle belonged to the 18 Rashtriya Rifles unit of Indian Army. The incident took place near the Line of Control (LoC).

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in a statement said, “Very unfortunate news about the attack on the army vehicles in the Boota Pathri area of North Kashmir which has resulted in some casualties & injuries. This recent spate of attacks in Kashmir is a matter of serious concern. I condemn this attack is the strongest possible terms & send my condolences to the loved ones of the people who lost their lives. I also pray that injured make a complete & swift recovery”.
