BJP leaders flag off Tiranga rally from Lal Chowk, attack NC & PDP

Tarun Chug, General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accused the Abdullahs and Muftis for making Jammu and Kashmir the centre of terrorism. He also said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has turned the region into a hub for tourism.

He added that the twin families were adamant that Article 370 could not be repealed, but PM Modi had made it possible. Mehbooba Mufti had claimed that if Article 370 were to be repealed, no one will raise the tricolour in J&K. Let her visit Lal Chowk and see how everyone has been carrying the tricolour in their hands, he said.

He added that the people have now rejected Abdullah and his sons, the Mufti and his sons, and Nehru and his sons. For J&K’s advancement, the youth have stepped forward. Youth from several locations around J&K took part in the bike rally. The tricolour is in the hearts and thoughts of every Kashmiri, but these politicians are hesitant to acknowledge this truth.

He said that the purpose of the gathering is to memorialise the victims of the Kargil conflict. He told reporters that J&K cannot advance in accordance with the dynasts’ wishes. Ravinder Raina, the J&K president of the BJP said that the tiranga is our identity and it belongs to everyone irrespective of religion, caste, and creed.

Former J&K Minister Sunil Sharma anticipated that the BJP will establish its own government in the UT. Tejasvi Surya, the national head of the BJP Yuva Morcha, also spoke at the event and noted that this was the first rally to be held since Article 370 was repealed. According to the report, the BJP National General Secretary started off the yatra in Srinagar from Lal Chowk, and 3000 youngsters, including all national office holders, state presidents, and NEC members, participated in it.

Tejasvi stated that the Tiranga Yatra march from Lal Chowk to Kargil is a sign of our country’s integrity, unity, and self-respect. It is also a representation of the belief that “Bharat is one” in its truest meaning. He said that as I look at the entirety of India from Lal Chowk in Srinagar, I can see the shores of Kanyakumari from the sacred land of Rishi Kashyap, who may be bestowing his blessings on our PM Narendra Modi for really uniting Kashmir with Bharat.

On July 26, as the yatra comes to an end, the participants will honour the memory of the dead troops at the Kargil War Memorial and raise the 75-meter-long Indian National Flag to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. In Kargil City, there will be a concluding ceremony. The principal guest will be Kargil war hero Gen. VK Singh, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation.
