BJP has opened its account in the LAHDC-Kargil elections with its candidate Padma Dorjey winning the Stakchay Khangral seat. Dorjey polled 1007 votes.
Meanwhile, the National Conference has won another seat–Padum– where its candidate Punchok Tashi has been declared elected by polling 1745 votes against 1691 polled by BJP candidate Skalzang Wangyal.
Of the result of 3 constituencies declared so far, NC has won 2 and BJP 1
