Campaign held to increase enrollment of students in Govt schools of Ladakh

A campaign to increase enrolment and imparting quality education through digital facilities was held at Government High School, Thiksay, today.

The event was attended by Councillor Thiksay, LAHDC Leh, Stanzin Chospel; Block Development Council (BDC) Chairperson, Tsewang Paldan; Deputy CEO, Kharu, Abdul Qayum; National Awardee Sonam Gyaltson, School Headmaster, Sarpanch, Gobas of Nang, Stakmo, Ranbirpur and Thiksey villages, Village Education Committee members, teachers and students.

The main objective of the campaign was to increase the enrollment of students in government schools and to impart quality education through digital facilities such as Smart classes, ICT (computer lab), Wi-Fi facilities, co-curriculum activities, from qualified and experienced teachers.

Thiksay Councillor Chospel gave assurance to develop school infrastructure and facilities.

Speaking on the occasion, Block Development Council Chairperson, Tsewang Paldan, stressed the need to focus on increasing the enrolment of students in government schools and development of the infrastructure of the schools.
