Srinagar :- The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conducted a solemn ceremony on Friday to pay homage to the 40 jawans who lost their lives in the devastating Pulwama terror attack six years ago. The memorial service took place at Lethpora-Pulwama, the site where a Jaish-e-Mohammad suicide bomber carried out one of the deadliest attacks on security forces on February 14, 2019, along the Jammu-Srinagar national highway.The commemoration ceremony drew attendance from officers across various security forces and civil administration officials.
Local BJP representatives, including spokespersons Altaf Thakur and Sajid Yousuf Shah, also participated in the memorial service, offering floral tributes at the attack site. The tragic incident, which occurred when a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a CRPF convoy, stands as a stark reminder of the sacrifices made by security personnel in the line of duty. The attack, which claimed 40 lives, marked a significant moment in India’s recent history and continues to be commemorated with deep respect and reverence for the fallen warriors.
