DC Doda Harvinder Singh, along with SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, President MC Doda Ved Prakash Gupta and other concerned officers embarked on a crucial visit of Doda town to assess the availability of civic amenities, sanitation, traffic management, and other related things. He inspected the progress of work on multistory car parking/ Bus Stand, upcoming Shopping Complex, and crash barriers on Bharat Road. One of the primary areas of concern was the maintenance of roads, drainage systems, and shops, as well as progress on multistory car parking at the bus stand.
DC Doda issued directives to the R&B engineers to promptly address potholes on the road and ensure an efficient drainage system to prevent excessive water accumulation and inconvenience to the citizens. In addition to road and drainage issues, DC Doda emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the town. He urged the executive officer of Doda Municipal Council to ensure that the town remains clean and free from debris.
Furthermore, DC Doda advised shopkeepers not to place their goods and material outside their shops, as this practice is creating inconvenience to the pedestrians and is hampering efficient traffic management in the town. He directed the concerned to expedite the work on prestigious government projects like Multi-story Car Parking and Shopping Complex so that these assets can be dedicated to the public use at an earliest. He appealed to the public not to use banned heating gadgets and to minimize the dependence on electricity in the winter to save the electricity and reduce the curtailment period.
