Deputy Commissioner Rajouri inspects progress on PMGSY road construction

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, recently conducted an inspection to assess the progress of the construction work on the 9 Km Nagrota to Thathi Badoon road. This road project falls under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and has an estimated cost of Rs 4.7 crore.

During the inspection, the Executive Engineer of PMGSY Rajouri provided updates on the project. It was reported that the blacktopping work on the road has been completed, while the ongoing tasks include berm and drain clearance work.

The completion of this road will be a significant boon for nearly three thousand individuals residing in the area. In light of this, the Deputy Commissioner urged the concerned authorities to ensure the timely completion of the remaining work to facilitate the road’s functionality.

Emphasizing the importance of quality, the Deputy Commissioner stressed that the construction work must adhere to the required standards specified in the PMGSY guidelines.

The Nagrota to Thathi Badoon PMGSY road is expected to greatly enhance connectivity for local residents, granting them improved access to essential services. Moreover, its completion is anticipated to contribute to the economic development of the region by facilitating increased business activities and trade opportunities.
