Jammu :- A massive Nagar-Kirtan procession marked Guru Gobind Singh’s birth anniversary in Jammu on Friday. The District Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee-organized event drew large crowds from the Sikh community.
Starting from Chand Nagar’s Guru Nanak Dev Gurdwara, the procession traversed local markets before ending at Nanak Nagar Gurudwara. Decorated streets featured welcome gates while devotees swept roads as a traditional gesture of respect.
The Panj Pyaras led the procession in Khalsa attire, followed by the Guru Granth Sahib on an adorned vehicle. Mounted participants added to the ceremony’s grandeur. Devotees chanted Shabad Kirtan and Gurbani hymns, while religious leaders delivered sermons throughout the route.
