Encounter between the security forces and terrorists has started at Dera-ki-Gali in the Poonch district after an Army vehicle was ambushed by terrorists.
The Army vehicle was ambushed on the Thanamandi—Surankot road.
Army spokesman Lt. Colonel Suneel Bartwal stated; “based on hard intelligence, a joint operation was launched in general area DKG last night, contact has been established today evening and an encounter is in progress”.
Terrorists had yesterday burst an explosive device in the Armed Police camp in Surankot smashing windowpanes of vehicles parked in the complex.
A joint team of the Army, paramilitary forces and police has trapped the terrorists and an encounter is underway.
