Hiring process to start for over 16000 posts lying vacant in J&K

The Jammu and Kashmir government has revealed that there have been 16000 gazetted and non-gazetted vacant posts in J&K. To fill these posts for educated youth of the Union Territory, Accelerated Recruitments Committee (ARC) has been framed.

Responding to a written question relating to the issue, Minister of State (MoS) for Labour & Employment Rameswar Teli said that information ehich was received from the J&K government through Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), UT has framed ARC with target of filling up the vacancies immediately.

Minister said that during phase 1 committee identified 10,000 Class-IV vacancies across various departments out of which 8575 have already been put to advertisement by the Board under the provisions of Jammu and Kashmir Appointment to Class-IV (Special Recruitment) Rules, 2020.

Further the minister said that in phase-II of Accelerated Recruitments Drive, the Committee has identified12,379 Gazetted and Non-Gazetted vacancies. He further added that 3694 other Gazetted and Non-Gazetted vacancies have been seen for recruitment.

Also the minister informed that under Mission Youth, a fund of 200 crore has been sanctioned for the development of youth of J&K.

Under a program named as ‘MUMKIN’ which is already launched, financial aid is being given for setting up self-employment ventures in transport sector.

Also minister informed that J&K Government is executing self employment schemes for employment creation for unemployed educated youth
