Hyderpora encounter aftereffects: Restrictions imposed in Ramban district

Administration in Ramban district has imposed restrictions under section 144 of CrPC in Famrote, Sangaldan and Seripora areas of Gool after tension erupted as locals refuted the claims of Kashmir police that one of the person killed in Hyderpora encounter was a terror associate.

While Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir zone Vijay Kumar has said that Amir Ahmad who was killed during the Hyderpora encounter was a terror associate his family has refuted the allegations and claimed that he was innocent.

Family member of the alleged terrorist associate and locals said they will hold protest on Jammu-Srinagar national highway if the body of Amir was not handed over to them. It was after this the administration imposed restrictions in the area.
