IIM Jammu students secure first runner up position at International Olympiad

The student team at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu secured the 1st Runner-up at the prestigious “International Bloomberg Olympiad 2022”. This was the seventh annual edition of this competition, jointly hosted by the Bloomberg and the TAPMI Institute. A total of ninety-one teams from India and abroad, including the teams from the top IIMs registered in the competition. The winning team consisted of Apoorva Gautam, Bhavya Mishra, and Deepshikha Dabas of MBA Batch 2020-22 from IIM Jammu. They were awarded prize money of Rs. 50,000.

Speaking on the achievement, the team expressed their gratitude towards the institute, and said, “We thank the institute, and our faculty members, especially Dr. Manoj Kumar and Dr. Pankaj Agarwal, for providing us the opportunity to represent our institute at such a prestigious event and for their constant guidance and support.”

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Manoj Kumar, Chairperson MBA, IIM Jammu said, “It’s a matter of great pride for all of us at IIM Jammu to have secured the first runner-up position at Tapmi International Bloomberg Olympiad. I would take this opportunity especially to congratulate these budding managers of tomorrow for this incredible feat, I am sure this is just the beginning and there is more to follow.” The seventh edition was conducted in three knockout rounds.
