On Thursday, an Israeli national was rescued by the Indian Air Force (IAF) from the Zanskar region of Ladakh. The traveler, Pnina Kuperman, was in the area for hiking when she started having breathing issues. The Israeli national was removed by the chopper unit of the IAF and taken to a hospital. Her condition is currently steady.

A defense spokerperson informed that on the evening of June 29, the pilots from the helicopter unit stationed at Air Force Station Leh braved heavy winds and challenging flying conditions to rescue Pnina Kuperman, an Israeli national who was facing trouble breathing, from a remote high-altitude village called Hangkar in the Zanskar valley.
