A day after being airlifted to New Delhi for treatment in the AIIMS, a critically wounded J&K Police Inspector, Masroor Ahmad Wani, today succumbed to his injuries.
Wani was critically injured in a terrorist attack in Srinagar on October 29 and was struggling for life for the past 39 days.
Wani was injured when terrorists fired at him at point blank with a pistol while he was playing cricket with local boys in Srinagar’s Eidgah. He was immediately rushed to the Soura medical institute. He was yesterday shifted to the AIIMS in an air ambulance.
