Jammu : In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued a fresh order transferring and assigning additional responsibilities to several senior officers.
According to Government Order No: 152-JK(GAD) of 2025, issued by the General Administration Department, Shantmanu, IAS (AGMUT:1991), currently the Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) of the Higher Education Department, has been assigned the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, School Education Department.
He will continue to hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Information Technology Department, while relieving Shri Suresh Kumar Gupta, IFS (AGMUT:1991), of his additional duties in the Culture Department.Furthermore, Saurabh Bhagat, IAS (AGMUT:2002), Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Science and Technology Department, has been given the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Information Technology Department, relieving Shantmanu of this responsibility.
In another key transfer, K. Ramesh Kumar, IFS (AGMUT:2000), CCF Settlement & Demarcation, J&K, has been appointed as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Culture Department, replacing Suresh Kumar Gupta. The order, issued with the approval of the Lieutenant Governor, has been circulated to all relevant departments, including police, administrative heads, and other officials. This reshuffle aims to streamline governance and enhance administrative efficiency in Jammu and Kashmir.
