Jammu :- In a sweeping administrative shake-up, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has announced several key bureaucratic appointments, positioning new officers in critical roles across the Union Territory.IAS officer Jatin Kishore has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Ganderbal, while his counterpart Shishir Gupta will take the helm as Deputy Commissioner of Shopian. The reshuffling sees Nitish Rajora, IAS, stepping into the role of Director of Information for Jammu and Kashmir.
The administration has also positioned Rakesh Kumar, IAS, as the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Jammu, strengthening the administrative framework in the winter capital. In a significant appointment for the border area, Shubhankar Pratyush Pathak, IAS, has been designated as the Sub Divisional Magistrate of Uri in Baramulla district.


As part of the reorganization, two JKAS officers, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar and Javid Ahmad Rather, have been directed to report to the General Administration Department for their next assignments.These administrative changes, which have immediate effect, represent the administration’s efforts to enhance governance and administrative efficiency across the Union Territory. The reshuffle is expected to bring fresh perspectives and renewed momentum to the administration’s functioning in these key areas.
