J&K govt fails to bring big business players for investment even after abrogation of Article 370

After the abrogation of Article 370, Jammu and Kashmir is still waiting for the promises to be fulfilled which were made by the government. The government assured that after the abrogation of Article 370, more of the big brands and business players will invest in the Union Territory. But this seems to be a distant dream.

The wait seems to be never ending since there have been no investments done by any big houses or any big business players in J&K.

One of the businessman said that they were assured that Tata, Birla and many other big business players are ready to invest in J&K. He further added that since Article 370 restricted the entry of outsiders to buy the land in the erstwhile J&K State so these players doesn’t invest here. He added that sadly no business houses have yet invested but the jobs which were done by locals have been snatched by the outsiders.

It is pertinent to mention that recently West Bengal’s Industry and IT minister Partha Chatterjee said that the Tata Group is always welcomed to invest in the state, as the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) never had any issues with the business house.

An analyst said that if the West Bengal government is ready to welcome Tata, then what is stopping J&K government to bring Tata in J&K for investment. He said further said that J&K government should work on projects and proposals which can bring big brands and big business players to come and invest in J&K.
