J&K Police unmasks LeT terror networks, seven arrested

Seven members of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror network were detained in Jammu and Rajouri districts, according to police officials. They claimed that the destruction of the three LeT modules has resolved the majority of terrorism cases in Jammu.

Mukesh Singh, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu division, at a news briefing said that they have busted three LeT terror units that were being operated from the other side of the border. There have been seven arrests of terrorist network members. As a result, LeT in Jammu has suffered a setback.

In the Rajouri district, they uncovered two modules and detained five LeT members. He stated that two LeT militants were captured and one module was destroyed in the Jammu area.

According to Singh, authorities recovered a sizeable amount of weapons, ammunition, and explosives, including two AK rifles, six pistols, three silencers, eight grenades, three UBGLs, six pistol magazines, six AK magazines, 120 rounds, and other explosives from the terrorists.

The LeT module had been active in Jammu for more than two years in the Khatika Talab neighbourhood. According to him, it was involved in the acquisition and transportation of weapons and explosives that were dumped along the international border by drones from the Pakistani side.

According to the official, it was being run by one Faisal Muneer of Khatika Talab under the direction of LeT terrorist Bashir of Doda, who is presently in Pakistan, and another terrorist operating under the code name Albert.
