J&K: Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers on Covid duties demand special incentives

In the wake of Covid outbreak, many government officials including teachers were also assigned duties to counter the pandemic.

Many teachers in Jammu and Kashmir from Rehbar-e-Taleem were also asked to join such duties. However the teachers who are on such duties have now asked the government that they must be given special incentive.

Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers’ Forum (JKRETTF) has asked J&K the government to provide special incentives to the teachers on Covid duties.

Forum Chairman Farooq Ahmed Tantray has appealed to the J&K administration to provide special incentives to the teachers.

“Teachers have been assigned the various tasks related to Covid and they are performing their duties as front line workers with health workers since day one. Teachers are performing duties at vaccination centers with medical staff, at airports, Covid testing centers, surveillance team among others” Tantray said.
