Security personnel raided a suspected terrorist hideout on Monday in the Ramban area of Jammu and Kashmir and recovered weapons and explosives, said officials. They said that a combined search operation by the Rashtriya Rifles and the police in Banihal’s Buzla-Khari belt heights resulted in the discovery of the hideaway in the Hadwagan-Sernihal forest.

A fragmentation grenade, 35 AK rifle rounds, 7 Pike rounds, 2 magazines, 7 pistol rounds, 2 tiffin boxes, 1 UBGL, utensils, 1 kg of explosive-like material in polythene, 2 kg of explosive materials in steel container, a cassette player, IED equipment with wire, and a pouch were recovered by the forces, according to the officials. They claimed that all of the ammo was rusted and seemed to be quite old.
