J&K to witness rainfall for the next five days: MeT

Weather forecasters predicted that Jammu and Kashmir will see dry weather till tomorrow morning followed by showers and thunderstorms from July 20 to 24.

For the most part of the day, dry weather is predicted. A brief rain or thunderstorm might, although it’s unlikely, happen in the late afternoon or evening, according to a meteorological department source.

He predicted that rain/thunderstorms will likely occur between 20 and 24 July in various locations in Jammu and Kashmir.

At all locations in the J&K, minimum temperatures increased as the mercury continued to rise above average.

Compared to the previous night’s low of 19.6°C, Srinagar recorded a low of 20.6°C. The official reported that the temperature was 2.2°C higher than average for the summer capital at this time of year.

A low of 13.5°C was recorded in the famous Gulmarg resort, which was 1.4°C warmer than average for the area at 11.5°C.

Jammu recorded a minimum temperature of 27.1°C as opposed to 26.3°C the night before. According to him, it was 2.1°C warmer than usual for the winter capital of J&K. He said that  the lowest temperature was recorded at Banihal at 20.0°C, Batote at 20.5°C, Katra at 25.7°C, and Bhadarwah at 21.1°C.
