Kathua police cracks bank robbery case; kingpin arrested with over Rs 1 crore

Police have arrested the main kingpin of the Kathua HDFC bank robbery case in which over Rs 1 crore were taken away by the robbers.

Police have also arrested the main accused who was a former bank employee, reports suggested. The police had questioned bank staff and got suspicious about one of the staff member. When questioned, he divulged entire information.

Police have arrested Jagbir Singh, a resident of Tara Nagar near Hatli Morh. Another accused Sukhwinder Singh has also been identified but he is at large. Police is searching for Sukhwinder.

Incident took place late on Sunday when two motorcycle borne men came to the bank and held a guard hostage and tied him up.
