Know about Rasikh Salam the KKR player from Kashmir who was banned for 2 years

Pacer Rasikh Salam who served two year ban by BCCI for fudging his age was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) during the Indian Premier League auction in Bengaluru.

Rasikh Salam hails from Kashmir and is the third player from valley to play in the IPL tournament after Parvez Rasool and Manzoor Dar. In 2019, Rasikh was banned when the BCCI found out that he had submitted a document with age discrepancy. He was barred from playing for 2 years.

He has earlier played with the Mumbai Indians and was purchased by the KKR for Rs 20 lakh.

Rasikh recently played for J&K Under-25 side and performed well. However, he was still left out of J&K Ranji Trophy side.

During his two year ban, Rasikh trained in Mumbai Indians academy in Mumbai.
