Social media these days is often flooded with the pictures of celebs getting married. Celebrity marriages capture the attention of huge paparazzi in a big way. While many celebrities choose to undergo this special bond, few others prefer to stay away from it.
Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar who died on February 6 never got married throughout at her life. The 92-year-old singer preferred being single. The melody queen was the eldest daughter of Deenanath Mangeshkar, a Marathi and Konkani musician.
Her father died at an early age which left her with huge family responsibilities. Lata Mangeshkar was the eldest of five siblings and in an interview, she had revealed that she didn’t think of getting married because of the responsibilities she had on her.
The list of other Bollywood celebs who never got married includes Asha Parekh. ’Dil Deke Dekho’ star was the highest paid actress of her time. When asked about not getting married, she said in an interview that because of her reputation, people hesitated in asking her for marriage and she also didn’t approach anyone.
Miss Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen is also unmarried. Though she has adopted kids, two daughters and recently a son too, but the beauty queen has kept herself away from the marriage. Sushmita was dating a model Rohman Shawl but their recent break-up ended the speculations of the couple every getting married.
‘Gadar’ actress Ameesha Patel is also in the list. Ameesha once in an interview asked to find a suitable match for her. The actress has never declared to stay single, maybe she is just waiting for her right match.
Actress Tabu is also single and had expressed her displeasure to get married. When asked about her marriage plans, the star said she didn’t believe in the concept of marriage.
However, it is not only the women celebs who stayed away from marriage, Bollywood’s ‘Bhai’ Salman Khan now seems to be the part of this squad. Considered to be the most eligible bachelor, the star has yet not announced any plans to settle down in marriage.
‘Sarabjit’ fame Randeep Hooda is also the one who has yet not decided to get married. He is the other one in the bachelor list.
