LeT top commander trapped in Pampore encounter

Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) top commander Umar Mushtaq Khanday who was involved in the killing of two policemen in Srinagar in February has been trapped in an encounter in Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, informed Kashmir Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar on Saturday.

Vijay Kumar said that LeT commander amongst top 10 terrorists namely Umar Mustaq Khandey who was involved in killing of two police personnel at Baghat Srinagar & other terror crimes has been trapped in Pampore Encounter.

An encounter between security forces and terrorists broke out in Pampore of Pulwama district on Saturday in the early hours.

It is pertinent to mention that two cops were shot dead at Baghat area of Srinagar on February 19.
