Light rain likely in Jammu and Kashmir, night temperature increases

Night temperatures increased at various places in Jammu and Kashmir and weather remained dry on Wednesday. Weather department predicted light or scattered rain for next 24 hours at various places.

Weather department official said that there is no forecast of any major rain or snow till the end of March.

A meteorological department official said that Srinagar recorded a low of 7.2°C against last night’s 6.9°C. The temperature was 2.2°C above normal for Srinagar during this time of the year. Drass in Ladakh region was at minus 7.2 degree, Leh 0.4 and Kargil minus 2.4 as the night’s lowest temperature.
