Tulip garden of Srinagar: Know what is unique this year

Tulip Garden is one of the major tourist attraction spot of Jammu and Kashmir which is located on the foothills of Zabarwan hills in Srinagar. It is all set to welcome visitors as it has been opened for the tourists coming to enjoy its beauty.

Thousands of locals and tourists visited Tulip garden on Wednesday in Srinagar as it has been opened after the pandemic. This year, 1.5 million tulips will blossom in the garden with 68 different varieties. Moreover, to make the time more pleasant for visitors, an open-air cafeteria has been started in the garden, which will serve as the major attraction for visitors.

One of the tourists from Mumbai said that he is mesmerized by the beauty of Kashmir and this Tulip Garden is amazing and wishes to visit here every year.

In an attempt to make visitors comfortable garden area has been expanded to incorporate more green spaces. Daffodils, hyacinths, narcissus, and other beautiful plants are planted to add colour to the space.

This garden was opened in the year 2007 and since then it has become one of the most favorite tourist spot. During spring season this garden witnesses thousands of tourist footfall.

Moreover, one of most iconic film of Amitabh Bachchan ‘Silsila’  scenes were shot in this garden in 1981.

One of the tourists from Delhi said that she have seen a tulip garden in the famous song, ‘Dekha ek Khwab’, from ‘Silsila’ and the expanse of the garden have made them relive those beautiful scenes from the movie.

Tourism department official said that they hope that this garden would help in attracting thousands of visitors to Kashmir from all over the world.
