Major reshuffle in J&K anti-corruption bureau as nine officers transferred

Jammu :- The Jammu and Kashmir Administration Department has issued a significant transfer order affecting multiple senior police officers in the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

The order, issued on January 16, 2025, comes following the recommendations of a Designated Committee meeting held on December 23, 2024.

Three Superintendents of Police, including Abdul Wahid Shah, Mohammad Rashid, and Rakesh Kumar, have been repatriated to the Home Department. In their place, three new officers – Shiv Deep Singh Jamwal, Manzoor Ahmad Mir, and Mamta Sharma – have been transferred to the ACB.

Additionally, three more Superintendents of Police have been posted to the ACB on deputation basis: Javid Hussain Bhat from CO Border Bn. Srinagar, Mehmood Ahmad from Commandant IR 21st Bn., and Abdul Qayoom from Commandant IR 2nd Bn.

In a separate development, Mohammad Saleem Bhat, JKPS, who was serving as Deputy SP in the ACB, will continue in the bureau as Additional Superintendent of Police following his promotion. Meanwhile, Dr. Ashok Sharma has been relieved from the ACB and transferred to CID with immediate effect.
