Heavy rush was witnessed at Srinagar airport as huge crowd of non-locals, Kashmiri Pandit employees and many Hindus working in the private sector gathered at airport.
Fear has been gripping the valley due to increased targeted killings of Hindus, the minority government employees have decided to leave Kashmir, reportedly. The decision came after a Hindu bank manager in Kashmir’s Kulgam district was shot dead on Thursday. Heavy rush can be seen at Srinagar Airport.
However in an official statement Srinagar airport officials stated, “We strongly rebut this sensational rumor mongering We handle between 16000 to 18000 passengers everyday. Today also the number of passengers is average. There is no heavy rush of minority community as rumored by tweets. Please do not spread rumors like this”
