In a statement issued by Doda Police , a Police Party of Police Station Bhaderwah while on checking / frisking duty in Chinote area of Bhaderwah, apprehended a notorious drug peddler namely Mohd Sohail @ Suhail Ganja son of Mohd Aslam resident of Sarafa Mohalla Bhaderwah and during his personal search heroin like substance (Chitta) was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, case FIR No. 162/2023 under relevant provisions of NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation of the case set into motion to ascertain forward/backward links and further lead during investigation..
Doda Police has continued its special drive to tighten the noose of drug peddlers as an effort to eradicate the menace of drug and has appealed the general public to cooperate with Police and provide inputs if any drug peddling or any drug addiction is noticed in their neighborhood so that action could be taken against such offenders.
